Community of Practitioners

Community of Practitioners is a monthly collaborative for working sign language interpreters and interpreting students, in the state of Illinois.

We meet monthly to discuss specific topics, general questions, concerns, and situations that may arise. The goal of the Community of Practitioners is to connect with one another and learn from each other.

IRID has a policy of non-discrimination and promotes an environment of mutual respect free from bias. Everyone is welcome. This is a safe space for all to express themselves, share thoughts and expertise, while maintaining confidentiality.

Schedule

Due to summer schedules, we will meet once per month until the Fall of 2021, at which time a schedule of twice per month will be set to accommodate practitioners' schedules. A schedule will then be set every 3 months.
